The Garrett AiResearch STAMP (Small Tactical Aerial Mobility Platform) feasibility demonstrator, 1974 A “flying jeep”, funded by the United States Marine Corps, who supplied the company with a Hughes OH-6 helicopter, used for the forward fuselage. A Garrett TSE231 turboshaft engine was installed, driving air through the intake at the rear of the craft, which was then exhausted through the rectangular ducts on each side. further information here and here
